Answers to your common questions
-
A restrictive practice is any intervention that limits a human being's rights or freedom of movement (for example, being locked in a room alone and not allowed to leave). At Banksia, we seek to phase out and end restrictive practices — an approach that is endorsed by the NDIS Capability Framework.
-
The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework was developed by the NDIS Commission to outline best-practice positive behaviour support. It’s a comprehensive guide for all practitioners.

Yes we have a waitlist but we operate under a triage system. Any availability we have is directed to those who are already subjected to restrictive practices or at significant risk of harm, followed by children. But please contact us for more info about our current waitlist as it changes frequently.
